The Course

Mindfulness is a simple, practical and effective way of changing your life for the better.

This 8 week Breathworks Mindfulness for Stress course is an evidence based way to improve your general well-being, reducing any stress and anxiety you experience, learning to experience life just as it is with an attitude of self-compassion.

The skills you learn and embed into your daily life will support and sustain you through all the inevitable challenges that lie ahead.

The skills you develop on this course are of benefit even if your life is currently  relatively stress free.

On this course you will learn how:

  • Breath and body awareness can support you to bring compassion to your experience of stress
  • Mindful movements can help calm body and mind, and establish greater awareness
  • Mindfulness can help you to see more clearly your habits and patterns that can lead to more stress, so you can begin to make different choices
  • Mindfulness and compassion can radically change your experience of stress
  • The simple pleasures of life can bring you joy, even in the midst of difficulty
  • Compassion towards yourself and others can help reduce isolation and support deeper connection to our common humanity.
  • Mindfulness and compassion can help you in choosing to respond, rather than react to the inevitable ups and downs of life.

How is it taught?

The course is taught over 8 sessions one  to  one,  usually  weekly  but  this  can  be  flexible.

The sessions include teaching of mindfulness strategies  and   guided meditations including gentle mindful movement practices.

A daily home practice of at least 20 minutes is required.

What is provided?

8 classes with a Breathworks accredited teacher.

The  Mindfulness  for  Stress  workbook  and  handbook.

A set of 18  guided meditations, available as downloadable MP3 files.

Personal support from the Breathworks  teacher   in between sessions.
