The Course

Mindfulness practices have been proven to be effective in reducing the suffering and stress that is associated with chronic pain and long-term illness.

When lifelong conditions are diagnosed it is common to be told you must

"learn to live with it"

which begs the question

"who is going to teach me that?"

This 8 week Breathworks Mindfulness for Health course will teach you the skills of mindfulness and compassion to help you cope with your chronic health condition. 

Reduce your pain and suffering and rediscover your love for life.

The course has already been delivered to tens of thousands of people worldwide and has been found in clinical trials to be beneficial.

Some of the conditions that have been helped by this course are

- chronic back pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, post-operative pain, those living with cancer, neurological disorders, MS, Parkinson's disease, other types of non-specific pain, and many other chronic health problems.

Mindfulness is now recommended by specialist pain management clinics in the UK.

How is it taught?

The course is taught over 8 sessions in small groups ( max 10 people).

Each session lasts 2.5 hours.

The sessions include teaching of mindfulness strategies, and guided meditations including gentle mindful movement practices.

There is a refreshment break in each session.

The meditations are done seated on chairs or lying down on yoga mats, your choice.

A daily home practice of at least 20 minutes is required.

Cost of the 8 week course

If you are self funding the course fee is £200  

A £50 deposit secures your place on the course.

The balance of £150 is payable by 7 days before the course start date.

Payment can if you wish be spread over four payments of £50

If your employer funds the course the organisational rate is £300

Again a deposit of £50 secures your place and the balance of £250 is payable by 7 days before the course start date.

Terms and conditions 

The following proportion of your fee will be refunded if you cancel your place on the course for any reason:

If you cancel up to 7 days before the course starts you will receive a refund of any course fees paid, less a £10 administration fee.

If you cancel within 7 days of the start date we cannot refund any of the course fees paid.

Refunds will not be given after the course has commenced, for example if you choose not to complete the course.

What is included in the price?

20 hours of teaching.

The award winning Mindfulness for Health book and CD, plus a course Handbook.

A set of 15 guided meditations, available on 4 CDs or as downloadable MP3 files.

Support from the course leader in between sessions.

All equipment, mats, blankets, cushions etc provided.
