The Course

Mindfulness practices have been proven to be effective in reducing the suffering and stress that is associated with chronic pain and long-term illness.

This 8 week Breathworks Mindfulness for Health course will teach you the skills of mindfulness and compassion to help you cope with your chronic health condition.

The course has already been delivered to tens of thousands of people worldwide and has been found in clinical trials to be beneficial.

The course can help with conditions such as chronic back pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, post-operative pain, those living with cancer, neurological disorders, MS, Parkinson's disease, other types of non-specific pain, and many other chronic health problems.

Mindfulness is now recommended by specialist pain management clinics in the UK.

On this course you will learn how

How is it taught?

The course is taught over 8 sessions one  to  one,  usually  weekly  but  this  can  be  flexible.

The sessions include the  teaching of mindfulness strategies  and guided meditations including gentle mindful movement practices.

A daily home practice of at least 20 minutes is required.

What is provided?

8 classes with a Breathworks accredited teacher.

The BMA  award winning Mindfulness for Health book and CD, plus a course Handbook.

A set of 15 guided meditations, available as downloadable MP3 files.

Personal support from the Breathworks  teacher   in between sessions.
